Submitting your site to a bunch of search engines can help.

Some search sites say "add my URL" instead of "submit my site". Some search sites charge for submitting your site and require you to re-submit periodically.
 

Pay-Per-Click

Pay-Per-Click is one of the best ways to get the traffic you want to your site. You determine what keywords or fazes that fit your site . This cost as low as 3 cents pr. click but the good thing is you do not pay unless someone comes to your site . With this form of advertising you get a higher rate of customers pr click (if you set you keywords correctly). This is one of the fastest ways to get traffic. Some times with in a hour of signing up .

There are several other forms of advertisements out there. But BE WARNED there is a lot that are scams and just do not work.
